This is a special edition newsletter for Giving Tuesday, because we are so excited to reach out in hopes that you (and everyone you know!) might join us at Incite in supporting a cause that’s close to our hearts and our surrounding community.
Food insecurity is always a major challenge during the holiday season and as the pandemic charges on this year, we’ve seen it more than doubled statewide and more than tripled in some Bay Area counties. We also know hunger is on the rise as the pandemic rages on.
In fact, the SF Marin Food Bank has seen the number of families who rely on their services nearly double during this crisis. Today, the food bank provides 60K households over 1.3M meals every week -- that’s nearly double their pre-pandemic household numbers and 35% more meals per week. To provide this critical service and support, SF Marin Food Bank is hoping to raise $6M in the next 4 months.
That’s why Incite is pledging $200,000, and hosting a month of action to raise awareness and donations to match this pledge to the SF Marin Food Bank.
We know everyone has given a lot of their time and resources to important causes already this year and so appreciate any support you can give. Here are a few ways you can help:

DONATE. Consider making a tax-deductible donation of any amount as part of this match campaign that runs until Dec 31st.

SPREAD THE WORD. Raise awareness in your network and among your teams by sharing information about the food security crisis in our community, and why it is so important to support the SF Marin Food Bank right now.

FUNDRAISE. Help us find other people to participate in this match campaign. And please spread the word on social media and everywhere else, encouraging folks to donate.
